Reality television personality LaTisha Collier, known to fans of Love After Lockup and Love During Lockup, was sentenced in an Iowa courtroom on July 30, 2026.
Court records from Scott County confirm she was booked into custody that same afternoon on charges tied to forgery and second-degree theft.
Sentencing Details Emerge From Courtroom Witness
Word of the sentence first came from Colleen Miller, a former client of Collier’s tax preparation business who had separately won a civil judgment against her for breach of contract.
Miller, who attended the hearing, said on social media that Collier received 15 years and will not be eligible for good time credit until she has served at least three years. Miller also claimed an FBI agent was present at the hearing and indicated that federal authorities would soon be taking over related cases.
That three-year threshold lines up with earlier reporting that Collier was expected to be sentenced as a habitual offender because of prior felony convictions, a term she agreed to as part of her plea deal. Under Iowa law, habitual offender status typically requires a minimum of three years served before parole eligibility.
Jail records list two case numbers tied to the booking, one for forgery and one for theft in the second degree, both dated July 30, 2026. Collier pleaded guilty to the felony charges back in April.
The theft charge stemmed from accusations that she kept client funds that were supposed to go toward taxes owed.
The forgery charge involved allegations that she used a former client’s identity to rent a house she could not qualify for on her own, a situation that reportedly led to that client being sued for eviction after Collier fell behind on rent. As part of the plea agreement, a separate identity theft charge and a marijuana possession charge from 2025 were dropped.
Pregnancy and Family Left Behind
Collier’s husband, Keith Collier, appeared to confirm she is currently pregnant, sharing photos showing a visible baby bump along with a statement saying he plans to stand by her throughout her sentence.
Instagram commentator Amber Keltner reported additionally that Collier had initially been expecting twins but lost one of the babies during the pregnancy.
Collier is being held at the Scott County Jail while she awaits transfer to the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women in Mitchellville.
She becomes the first non-inmate cast member across the Love After Lockup franchise to be sentenced to prison time, though several others in the show’s history have faced arrests.
Keith Collier is also currently facing six separate drug-related felony charges stemming from arrests last year, raising questions about who will care for the couple’s children if he too is sent back to prison.
